Exciting News

We have a legitimate reason for our lack of posting this time. We've been house hunting a little bit lately because it is such a good time to buy and figured that, even though we're probably a couple of years away from having to move, we may stumble across a great deal on something that is perfect for us.

As of 7:30am this morning, we've got a deal in place for that very house:

We've got our inspection on Friday morning and will close by May 15th (a little earlier than we wanted considering we still have a house to sell, but at least we'll be in before Clay's first birthday). We'll keep you posted!

Here's a couple recent Clay pictures too, since he'd be mad that we took over his blog with photos not of him!

Lots of Updates

Again... sorry to those of you who check in on us and have been anxiously awaiting an update. SO much to catch up on... where to start! Our little guy turned 9 months on the 2nd of this month! Time flies when you have a cute little guy entertaining you all the time! He had his 9 month check up at the doctor and we are 17 lbs 13 oz. and 27 inches long. For those of you thinking "that seems kind of small for a 9 month old" you would be correct. As our nurse said "he's short and skinny". But we aren't worried about that - Brian was on the short and skinny end of things until middle school and look at him now (tall and skinny)!

Clay has been throwing out all types of sounds lately with some that sound extremely close to "hi" and "yes" and used at appropriate times. We even had a "daddy" one day but it has not been repeated. Luckily Brian was there to hear it as we both looked at each other in a "did you hear that?!?!" kind of way.

Clay has started opening cabinets and drawers which has resulted in a couple of smashed fingers. The days of watching him from the other side of the room are over and we have becoming Clay's shadows to help him make good choices about where to put his hands and what not to put in his mouth.

The weather here this weekend was unbelievably beautiful! We headed to Broad Ripple Park for a walk in our new backpack carrier that Brian and I found on super clearance over Christmas. Clay LOVED it! We had a great time watching the doggies at the bark park and walking the trail. Uncle Brad lives so close to the park that he was able to walk there to join us. It was a great day out in the sun.

Hope everyone is doing well, we miss and love you and here are some extra pictures that just never made it to the blog. (good timing- I hear Clay calling to get up from his nap - I must away!)
